Introduction to Craufurdland Woods
Set in the lush grasslands of the Ayrshire countryside, Craufurdland Woods is an idyllic 3 acre site on Craufurdland Estate at Midland Farm, Fenwick. Surrounded by mature Ash trees and Hawthorn hedgerow, this woodland burial ground is quiet and tranquil, with views only interrupted by a scattering of farms in the distance. The "Woods" is part of Craufurdland Estate, lands given to the Craufurd family in 1245 and in their careful guardianship ever since. The Craufurd's are dedicated to the continued stewardship of the estate, and it is with this in mind that the woodland burial ground has been established.
