Ecological Considerations
The burial and the planting that goes with it, is an extremely ecological alternative to cremation. Recent environmental legislation has required even more gas to be used for each cremation. Conventional coffins are associated with pollution of the burial site and destruction of the rainforests. Craufurdland Woods avoid this, by only allowing the use of coffins made from renewable and recycled materials.
The countryside will also benefit from the "Woods" as it will be planted with a variety of trees, shrubs and natural flora, thus providing diverse habitats for all sorts of wildlife
